Is this lid easy to clean thoroughly? I have some older Contigos that need retired, only because of the nasty black mold that grows in the nooks of the lid and is next to impossible to clean.

Yes they are insulated just the same except the inside has a ceramic lining this eliminates the metallic aftertaste.
