I have a 32" monitor on a 23" desk and that's the perfect size. Any bigger and there would be serious ergonomic issues.

I disagree that text looks bad on this thing. I noticed it depends on the application you're using. I actually connected my laptop to one in the store and tried it out because I had similar concerns....

Noobie question, how do you use a tv this big as a monitor? They say you should sit 5-9 ft away from a 40” TV. For most desktops, you’ll probably more like 2 feet away, so how would this be feasible?

I sit about 30" away from mine and you get used to it very quick. I have two Dell 43" U4320Q monitors sitting on my desk instead of eight 22"s or four 35" wide-screens stacked. And I have a third...

42" is a fantastic monitor size. I highly doubt you've even tried a 42" if you think it is too big to use. Burnin is the only real concern here. But the samsung q90b and sony x90k solve that.

42" is better for monitor size at 4k resolution, it's already pushing it as a large format monitor. 48 is larger but not as good monitor wise. If you only plan to use this as a TV, obviously the...
