This is very convenient - we have reading lamps and head lamps and kindles and power banks that use the micro and there are c outlet things in the minivan. So that’s useful.

That's as good as it gets over the normal micro USB connector. The USB 3.0 version looks like 2 micro USB stuck together.

I hate that every USB-micro deal brings out the “I only have USB-C devices now” crowd and they have to let everyone know. We get it. USB-C is better. But sometimes there isn’t any other option.
