There are several posts with bad information regarding the GPU used in this desktop. Techpowerup did a full set of benchmarks when the RX 5500 OEM was released along with every other competitor at...

The relative performance ratings are in the link I provided earlier. Techpowerup does a fantastic, detailed series of benchmarks for nearly every GPU. During my own benchmarks using the RX 5500 OEM,...

I'm using this exact GPU, RX 5500 OEM from HP, in my custom build right now. Your statement seems wrong based on reliable benchmarks and my own testing. Generally, there is little difference between...

Question: can you remove the video card and just use the onboard video card?

Got mine today. The PC looks brand new, although it was shipped in a regular brown box and not in its original packaging. All the components and accessories are present. Nothing is missing or...

Received mine today, everything works exceptionally well! 11 years since my last built of an intel i5 2500k, 8gb ram, crossfire ATI 5870 1gb, 500gb intel ssd(500mb write/read)setup that I spent well...

This model originally came with an Nvidia card. I suspect that HP switched to AMD due to parts shortages or cost savings. Refurb models will most likely have either - or something even...

Just be cautious about putting too much load on the proprietary PSU if you plan on upgrading the dGPU. Given this is a budget Walmart special, I don't trust that HP didn't cut corners.

Right. You can cut the wires off of the existing connector and solder them into a standard PSU, but a standard PSU likely won't mount properly. If you're technical enough to solder some wires and...

I'll stick to Amazon then. They have excellent customer service.

All that means is that you can take it to the store and they will put a label on it and mail it back to the seller for you. Once the seller gets it then the seller is responsible for refunds. No...

If you can afford a bit more, I definitely would just go somewhere else considering the potential pitfalls of this refurb place.
Can OP correct the specs here walmart says: AMD RX 5500 Not nVidia 1650 Super That's a big difference for many in performance and brand prefer. Honestly I'm gonna down vote if not corrected....

I purchased one about 2 weeks ago. I believe person buying should be a bit PC savy. No genius by any means. I got mine popped in a 1 TB HD. It's been in use very much. Told my kids to use it...

Both, you can't use a standard ATX PSU (size won't fit) and you'll need an adapter cable to connect to the motherboard (not easily found on Amazon/eBay etc.) I have a similar system with Ryzen 7...
