Yep, I got the 10' pro and several of the inspire paring and utility knives. All new, no X's. Haven't opened them yet - they look alright, I hope they are ok for day to day use.

It says it is Japanese steel. Not that the knife was made in Japan. I think the steel is forged in Japan and then all the finishing is done in China.

The 6 inch pro chef was good. The edge and steel stays sharp and is light weight. The handle was too skinny though and a bit slippery if cutting meat. It was cheaper on the last sale.

My girlfriend used to put knives in the dishwasher. She currently uses them then leaves them out rather than rinsing, drying and putting back in the rack.
In any case we went with some Fibrox.
