I wouldn't recommend it if you intend on running air conditioners., as it would not start a 10K unit easily. You could possibly get away with 2 6K units. It's not as quiet as my honda inverter...

I've had this on my watch list forever - ended up with a friends and family discount on a harbor freight predator 3500 last year. No complaints, though the remote start feature is really nice.

you can always have an interlock kit and just run the 120v circuits. If I have a power outage I can do everything but run the A/C, Dry Clothes and cook on the stove.

Ah, you're right. I looked closer and the 50 amp kit is 120V. It was still a pretty good deal, but I think we'll see more gen deals since we are out of hurricane season. Retailers are stacked deep I...

No, efficiency is measured as “electrical watts going in” vs “watts of heat added to the room.” Resistive heaters create heat from nothing, so 1 in=1 out=100% efficiency. Heat pumps separate ambient...

It's a small engine, and they require frequent oil changes to last. Lots of heat and contaminants. 50-100 hours is the norm, with most generators of this type being at 50 hour intervals after break...
