I just did this and I take it that the customer order summary does NOT reflect the actual deal (It shows as paying full price and non discounted monthly payments)

There is no contract.
If you don’t keep the line active for the full 36 months, then you stop getting credits and owe the balance on the phone. That’s not a contract, as there is no penalty....

If the cost of service is $40 a month, you are paying $22.22 a month for the phone that you financed, then get a credit of $22.22 a month, so you are paying $40 a month + taxes...
