I don't know if the satellite max speed is 300mbps or not but when I tested the speed. The max was 80mbps. I'm using xfinity 1gbps.

Do orbi satellites play nice with other Orbi models? I have the RBS50 model satellites and I'm hoping to upgrade my system for my new home and I'm looking for something compatible with these.

You’d have to check with tech support but I believe satellites are not interchangeable between models.

Correct, the router cannot be configured as a satellite. However you can buy additional satellites to extend the system up to that model’s limit, usually 3 or 4. So OPs bundle comes with one router...

1gbps WAN port. Fyi- If you have latest 2.5gbps capable modem this will not compliment it.
