I thought the 75" fit would better in my living room vs 65". Also the Sharp was a rebranded Hisense vs LG which I had good success with in the past.

Not exactly, VA may have better blacks but IPS tends to have better color accuracy and is the better pick before going to OLED (which has its own problems). Ymmv

It's the same for all the standards. USB included. I believe Apple owns Lighting with Intel but not sure on that. Likely one of many reasons Apple doesn't want to move to USB-C. Imagine that bill.

What's the pick in the budget entry level 75" TV ? Is it this LG, Samsung, TCL 4 series or the Hisense A6?

Really? I didn't know that. Knew there was a fee to license Dolby Vision but had not heard about fees for HDMI ports.

The 86” size is 120hz native refresh rate. You’re confusing the specs with the other sizes which are 60hz. Look directly on the LG site.

No way uQ8000 is 4k @120hz , some will advertise 120hz but it’s only 1080p @120hz , 4k @60hz. I actually just looked it up that TV uq8000 is native 60Hz.
