All those “tricks” exist because of burn-in. Frankly I won’t be buying another OLED if it has to employ such annoying features like auto-dimming.

The C7 was the last OLED that was very susceptible to burn-in. Starting in 2018 with the C8 they introduced pixel refresh which greatly helped and it's only been improved several times over since...

I got it a couple hours later than their delivery estimate. It was in perfect condition (the factory packaging seems to keep it very secure.) I've been using it for a couple weeks now with no issues....

C2 is a great TV. The dimming is annoying AF though. QD-OLED is likely the future. You can turn it off by buying a service remote.
