Yep, plan to keep it. One of the settings made dialog better for regular content, but I forget which one it was, perhaps Sports, or Night mode.

Sounds like ARC or EARC is not activated on your TV. Check your TV settings and ensure that the HDMI cable is plugged into the ARC or EARC port of your TV.
