Sorry for the late reply. Anything over 4-6 core and a mid tier GPU throttles like hell on laptops. I've been in this space for a long time and unfortunately this just doesnt change.

you're right...same GPU I ended up getting the Rog X16 that Bestbuy has on sale for $1750...prefer AMD and a 16:10 screen and it has both mem slots upgradeable.

Owned this. Do not buy it. Thermal throttles beyond all hell. I’ve owned a few gaming laptops in my time and totally understand they get hot. This however, was completely unacceptable.

Edit: M16 has better screen and less bezels but this lasts longer on battery and has a faster GPU. Biggest misses by Asus is soldering the first memory chip and not adding usb4 ports...
