Yep. I had to tighten the fan inside of mine. That was on the cheaper marpac. The more expensive one hasn't had that issue though

These things go on sale way less than you'd think. They are pretty top tier for white noise machines, so if you like white noise you should try while it's on sale. Returning is easy enough.

Used ours every night for the last 6 years. It’s a GAME CHANGER especially living in the city without double paned windows. Our dog is also used to it now and knocks out when we turn it on lol
