It seems to work about 75% of the time for me now. Needed to add a few fingers to test the feature and for some reason, the laptop only seems to respond to my middle finger.

I was able to fix it. Apparently I needed a different cable even though it worked intermittently. Thunderbolt 4 cable resolved all the issues.
