Yes and you’re better off buying the 2.5”. There are still plenty of them available out there. That person is wrong. There is a deal for a 2.5” SSD from the same company for the same price as this.

FYI, you can convert this m2 drive to 2.5 ssd with an enclosure.
Nowadays 2.5 ssd are hard to come buy for a good deal

These drives are not NVME and will not work with most motherboards unless they specifically support it. I made the mistake of buying one.

If you have an original style 2.5 or 3.5inch hard drive as your main os drive, it is possible you don’t have an m.2 slot (b or m) on your board. Just a heads up for people wanting to upgrade.
