It was a dell p3421w from dell outlet. with cb from another site, it was ~$260ish. no gaming on it though.

I eventually went with an IPS display as the gamma shift from a VA panel was too annoying. It's especially noticeable with a 34" non-curved display. Not sure whether a curved panel makes the gamma...
