While youu get more bass with an amp, I can drive them with my iPhone XS with the volume turned up high. Fiio BTR5 can also drive with less bass as well.

I would be careful with these... They are not built the same as the older ones and the planar membrain can flex with the change of pressure when you put the headphones on and stick to the magnets...
