So the glue stick comes with the glue gun is 5/16". It will take 1/2" stick as well?

Seriously. I do a lot of shipping so I use mine for gluing boxes closed instead of using tape. Also I'm a tile setter by trade and use it for making templates...

Got this last month to repair Xmas ornaments. The full sized version works remarkably well. Much better than my corded version since I don't have to hassle with the cord. IMHO well worth the price.

i see glue guns fairly often at the thrift store. i picked up one and it didn't work too well for my intended purpose (forgot what it was).. probably the glue stick too old or cheap or something....

Got one and used it the other day with my Milwaukee battery adapter to put Xmas lights up. Worked well but it definitely leaks glue and makes a little mess when not being used for a few minutes.

I have both versions the single and dual temp versions and much prefer this cheaper single temp if you are not working around say foam that melts etc. The more expensive version pushes less glue...
