Outlaw mono block amps are outstanding. I have 3 for LRC. The one thing I will tell everyone is don’t listen to anyone and listen with your ears. From Emotiva, Outlaw, McIntosh to Monoprice I...

It really boils down to personal preference and what source gear you are using. Most basic AVRs would benefit from external amplification. Personally, I would look for a quality amp to improve the...

If you have the space, adding in inexpensive Atmos speakers is a somewhat nice upgrade. They really don’t need to timbre match the rest of the system (like the rears). Very little information goes to...

Funny you say that. As you can tell just in this thread on how many different ways people have beliefs on defining good or bad sound! You kinda a good example of the ramifications of all this. ...

Emotiva was bang for buck back then, I have their LPA-1 and Sherbourn PA7-350 amps. Now its like every other brand, priced way up. Don't see any reason to buy Emotiva at inflated price.

Unpopular opinion: Instead of 9 channels driving different types of speakers all over the room to result in the audio equivalent of "explosion at the spaghetti factory," ESPECIALLY when there's so...

It depends on what your standard is. In a theater, you’re less likely to notice all of the Klipsch issues from anything but the center channel. Klipsch speakers have a lot of problems in their...

These days you want to find class D amplifiers using the better chipsets like Purifi, Ncore, or ICE. They run more efficiently and with lower distortion. Their greater efficiency generally makes them...

I was going to say Buckeye, but I'm not 100% thrilled with the guy out of his house audio thing. May as well go DIY at that point. As for sound quality, if I'm gonna spend lots of money, I aim...

More power than the speakers can handle and less distortion than they already make. And cheap.

This is a pretty ignorant take. The Klipsch Reference Premiere stuff is pretty good-surprisingly so. But most importantly they are VERY sensitive and take very little power to drive cleanly.

You misread the specs. This amp is 5xchannels @ 300-500watts(4-8ohm ratings) Plus 4x channels @65watts for Atmos/extra surrounds.

Howdy, so my 2 cents. 9 channels of Purifi is way beyond $1759 and way beyond the threshold of audibility in most systems. The Hypex based NAD and Marantz stuff is even more money depending on the...
