That's too bad. Atmos soundbars from Samsung, LG, JBL, Vizio, etc. have HDMI ins and out so they sort of act like a source switcher for multiple video inputs. That would easily solve your issue.

ok, yeah i guess it depends with he has, as my old sound bar worked differently, only had the hdmi arc and an optical in port, no other HDMI inputs for other devices.
