Can i have dual monitor on this
Post #160667308 added 12-28-2022 1:12 PM by VladC in Deal Talk
Exactly. You could've left it on for a year but after a short while any monitor would turn the backlight off in order to save power (and the lifespan of CCFLs (or even LEDs)). You're welcome!

Well, I checked out the CCFL issue and I'm convinced that is the problem. So much so that I ordered another monitor. I had replaced the electrolytics a few years ago when the PS failed. It has...

You need more THC or lay off the THC?

No, you can really boot your old Win8.1 HDD with the new hardware, piece of cake. It will install new drivers by itself. But it won't run Win11 (due to TPU 2.1 and others) and Win8.1 is out of MS...

If your old monitor has CCFL backlight, that's what they do when aged, until fail to start at all. Also its PSU (caps) might be a problem. So a new computer won't solve this problem as your new SSD...

Just what I didn't want to hear but apparently really need to know. I have so many programs that are very old that I need for legacy hardware and I don't know if I can find the install stuff. Maybe...

I didn't prove anything, you did for me. Thanks. Good Luck in the future.

Legitimate OEM Windows keys from authorized Microsoft resellers don't cost $25. You must be buying from shady websites.

You are probably better off reinstalling everything from scratch on the new PC. You could, theoretically, boot the new PC from the old PC's hard drive, but the underlying hardware would be too...

Sorry for the terminology error. I have spent a lot of time pinning this down to a temperature problem. And I have had to track down temperature problems too many times in the past on other...

If they didn't meet your needs, then neither one would be a buy for you. An extra warranty won't improve the performance.

Even if you have these 2 systems side by side, I doubt you can see the 5700g is faster. If you require a PC with a lot of horsepower, are you going to be happy with these pre-builts?

So you take a performance hit to get extra warranty. That might be a good tradeoff for you, but that doesn't make the Costco deal better in general sense.

You are a bit all over the place with your troubleshooting. And your terminology is off too. If you can access the computer remotely within a few minutes, then it booted. If you, for some reason, get...

But double the warranty and 4 years of warranty if you use your Costco Visa card. That's the reason I buy almost all computers from Costco anymore. Really great service and support. I probably bought...
