Maybe I have a dud. I did try mode 2 and it only flashes for like 1st five times then it just stays lit while charging. Not a big deal but def lost a bit of fun factor.

I've got two of them, one at work and one at home. They do charge slower, but not horribly so. I just lay the phone down while I'm working and it stays pretty much fully charged.
