The warranty is 3 years iirc but Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA) is for life. They are separate things and you need to register for the LSA but not the warranty

Not exactly true - factory blemished from Direct Tools qualifies for lifetime warranty. Factory reconditioned does not qualify for lifetime, but will get a limited time warranty.
