The only real risk you run with these is the center metal insert rusting out, which it 100% will do when exposed to elements. I don't think that's enough of a deterrent, but definitely consider that...

I got the 160lb set from Walmart when they were $160; they are pretty decent and I personally prefer this material to the black crumb rubber of the Hi-Temp/ cheaper Rogue stuff. It's hard to beat...

OP's plates are made to be dropped from overhead (solid rubber plate). The one you linked to is just an iron plate with a rubber coating applied.
