You can get an Muai Thai bag, aka a banana bag. A decent one is made by Fairtex. It can be hung so that it touches the floor and therefore doesn't swing. You can work your boxing or kicking with it.

what??? Local gym use these until they are destroyed. They will last like 3-6 month in most gym. Less if it's a boxing/MMA gym.
