I received mine and it is working well. If it proves to be reliable for a few years this will end up being a great deal. Time will tell.

The instructions for this DynaGlo that I got (I haven't lit it yet) says, "Not Recommended" to use a single 1lb. tank. So I guess the heating element doesn't have 2 sections?
And it doesn't say...

OK, that makes sense. I'm looking at the Big Buddy and using their 10' hose. That will help keep the tank outside.

It requires two 1lb tanks, one on each side, to get the full btu output. I assume the tanks sit inside the covers fully once installed. That pic is most likely to demonstrate how the tanks attach.

In for 1. I have a bunch of 1lb tanks I refill myself. This will come in handy when I don't feel like using the larger propane heaters I have. This seems like a really good deal for the price.

Can I use this with one 1lb tank?
Also in the pics on the website, the bottles stick out 45° when attached. Do they retract in flush with the unit?
