There are other places to mount tvs. Unless you have atleast 150" at living room distance the idea laying back on your couch is enough is just cope. Fireplace isn't a flex, I like most people...

People don't understand ergonomics. Nothing is as obviously lame as above the fireplace mounts. They do make ones that mechanically lower for viewing but it's not cheap.
