Been using this drive since ps5 launch to store my ps4 games. Works well. Loading time isn't any worse than the ps4 itself.

Not great. Would get an external SSD for a game system where on-demand load times are important.

Depends how you use the drive! For example, laptops have moved away from mech hard drives, and use soldered ram/memory or NVMe or SSD. Mech drives need to be in stable conditions COMPARED to new...

This hard drive has been at this price the last 3 years. I would've expected it to be lower considering that all SSDs have lowered in price

Good to know this, I have one of these exact drives that I purchased for a similar price -- what 2 years ago? As mentioned in the thread, the pricing hasn't changed all that much. I didn't realize...

This has been sold at this same price for the last 5-6 years. With hdd going down in price tb/$$ I'm extremely surprised this has not gone down in price. This drive should probably be 6tb at this...

I paid $130 including taxes for a 5TB desktop external hard drive in 2015. Yes, it was USB 3.0. $90 seems to be a modest discount in 2023 for a portable one.
