This is an instant buy for me. Just one more to add to the collection. The 9500s are at a good price as well. Those plus a Vmoda boom mic is phenomenal for gaming and everything really.

I own both and love them both for their intended purposes. Both are excellent for gaming and music listening, but work very different from one another. My basic summarization would be that the 9500...

Thanks. Because the pads on the SHP9500/9600 are cloth. Aren't they dust magnet? Can you also comment on the sound quality?

I have both SHP9500 and X2HR for gaming and greatly prefer SHP9500. The clamp force on the X2HR is much higher and not comfortable. The velour pads on the X2HR also are a dust magnet and hot. I...

Are you sure you want open-back headphones? You'll have next to no noise isolation. Honestly, these Philips are more for music listening and maybe gaming. You can get a set of studio headphone for...

Thumbs up for a great price on the 9600s. I've had both and they sound very different from each other. YouTube reviews and RTINGs can help you decide which is right for you, hopefully.

No idea why this post got TD. This is also what I read from reviews before getting the 9600. It's a good practical summary of the sound difference. Some things not mentioned, in case...

The better version... I guess that would depend on how close to neutral you want to be and what you want out of your headphone. I find the 9500 and 9600 to be tools for different jobs here. ...

How do these compare to the Audio Technica ATH M30X? I missed the deals back in December for the M20. I’m looking for a decent set of headphones to use with my Bigfoot MIC on the Xbox Series X.
