Looks like this is all but dead, but just to chime in, definitely don't sleep on powerstack. Yes the capacity is bad, but for tools that you need big hitting power but not a ton of run time/capacity...

I meant no offense ;) Just thought that you were being facetious with that loaded question and I had to pick up the gauntlet since there's been a bit of that already in this thread. I'll be happy...

You got me there. The only thing those Makita kits have to offer is the Japanese brushless technology in their latest top-tier tools that professional crews are running around the clock and for $160...

But again, where is that happening here? Everything I looked at, granted briefly, was their most current model. I understand your point, it's just not applicable here. Who cares what it costs...

Anyway, y'all can do whatever you want, but here's a take from someone who owns over 100 different power tools: Paying close to $300 for two ancient power tools and around 7ah worth of batteries...

I'm not sure you understand how the power tool economics work. 10 years ago this was the most current version, sold for $100 and let's say cost $50 to make due to tooling and the R&D. Since then...

And what does that have to do with anything if said tool is the most current version of that tool and does the job?

I didn't say anything about them not being current. It's a fact that some of these tools were released close to a decade ago.

The 412 sucks, at least get the brushless 413 or don't bother (which isn't included in this deal).

While OOS, most of the tools do look like the current tools offered. And the batteries are fairly new. I mean, I don't need anything in this deal as I have all those tools (sans grinder, which I...

Both are legit stores and have their own arrangements with the manufacturers. Sometimes stuff is on backorder or doesn't ship for a few days. A model of tool from 7 years ago and two 1.7ah...

I know nothing about either company so i'm weary about them in general. The deal also seems a bit too good to be true. I think one of those batteries goes for $99-129 or something like that but...

I picked up a power stack battery on a different deal and it's pretty amazing. I have it in my go to drill and it is powerful and never needs to be recharged. I have probably 20 DeWalt tools and 10...
