I would much rather pick up the Onkyo RZ-50 which has fantastic DIRAC room correction and is a 9ch receiver with 11 ch processing for $1325 then this. Yes, it's a bit more but your getting much more...

Thanks for the reply! I was looking at the Avenge A6A so I could do a 5.1.4 setup when it was on sale. Instead of 2 L/R side surrounds (no room) I was looking at putting in 2 ceiling speakers. On...

Here is my take from setting up and listening to many object based setups. First off you will need a 9 channel capable object based ready receiver, this won’t work. Placement is critical of...

If a $500 Sony AVR is providing fuller and more immersive sound at BB then I think it's neither AVR nor the speakers - maybe the room has something to do with it? Your fronts have built-in subs and...

This is interesting. Looks like two transport technologies are here: 5 channel over WIFi (presumably TCP/IP) limited to 16 bit / 48 kHz and 8 channel over U-NII 5 Ghz (presumably proprietary...

Many unknown factors here but my guess is if you were fairly impressed with that receiver you would with this and no need to look into an external amp. A plus is this does have pre outs in case you...

I was commenting on X4800H and Cinema 50 - they are both priced at $2500 in US. Both these, as well as X3800 ($1700) and Cinema 40 ($3500) have 9-channel amplification and 11-channel processing. The...
