Harbor Freight earmuffs have the same decibel rating for $8.49, which can be found on sale for under $6, and I'm sure you already have earbuds.

Yes. I use inexpensive round buds without the stem. I think my hearing protection is rated at 34. It’s worked well for me. When they fall out of my ears they wind up in the hearing protection cups...

Anyone tried ear buds under plain jane muffs?

Yes, been doing it for years. I use Jabra 65t earbuds and some cheap earmuffs from Amazon that are rated at 32db, which may be an exaggerated rating, but they do block sound as well as my 3M...

Anyone test this at the range?
Post #161406361 added 02-01-2023 12:48 PM by lawm18 in Deal Talk
Yep, I’d say 3M might put out a slightly better product, but honestly the performance is about the same for either. It might come down to personal preference on the fit

I just use some cheap jbl buds with basic 3m muffs. works great if you fit the buds properly. I wear glasses. if glasses get water in them or I have to remove glasses after extended work it can get...

There is a video with some comparison of the 3M vs DeWalt, here: https://youtu.be/guSsBpImAgQ Summary from video review: DeWalt benefits from external controls for volume and track change while...

That’s what I currently do. Sometimes wireless ear buds and sometimes wired. Both work great and I get my preferred sound and reduced external noise.

The size may be a nuisance when trying to aim a rifle. You'll want low profile muffs for that purpose. For handguns it probably makes no difference.

I think you're better off buying a mid range set of bluetooth ear plugs and regular ear muffs... That's what I do. Then you're not dependent on whatever bluetooth and batteries they have in these...

I have the 3M Worktunes version of this and it's fantastic for air travel. I also use them when mowing the lawn.

Lol. Same decimal noise reduction from harbor rate cost like 5 bucks on sale and always under $10… imagine paying 3x as much for literally no reason lmao

Have had these for about a year and they have been working great for house/garage projects. Better sound than a lot of the other competitors.

Yet… Exactly, it’s only a matter of time. I’d give it 1-2 years max.

Bought these during the last deal. Haven’t used them much yet, just tested them out. No really complaints other than they don’t get as loud as I’d like them to.

I have these. They do what they’re supposed to do, and this is a decent price. They’re made by Radians and branded as DeWalt. Moderately uncomfortable if you wear with glasses for a long time. Sound...

I’ve been wearing my noise canceling headphones when I mow with my zero turn with satisfaction. Anyone knows if there are advantages of physically blocking noise with these vs. using active noise...

May give these a try. I have tried muffs with ear buds while mowing, etc and with any sweat, all my buds fall out my ear and just lay in the muff. While you can still hear a little, almost always...

The 3m give me a headache and smoosh my ears. I can't keep them on too long which defeats the purpose. Sounds like these are tight too as per reviews. Bummer

I used to do this. Dedicated device like this is a lot more comfortable. I have the 3M WorkTunes and have had it for years. It gets a lot of time on a charge. I've never done a 12 hour flight or...

With proper noise blocking, noise canceling can really help silence outside noise. Conversely, noise canceling on its own is meaningless without a good seal (think Samsung Galaxy Buds Live which have...

Possibly stupid question but would these be good for an indoor gun range paired with in-ear protection?

Absolutely. Of course, you could spend a lot less if you're just using these for the gun range and don't need the Bluetooth audio.
