Depends on what you want. the v1200 and the a3500 are part of vitamixes new ecosystem. The the jars use nfc which tells the base whats being attached. Newer attachments like the food processor needs...

Yep. I got the a3300 for $350 and wish I paid extra for a3500 w/ presets as all I need are “smoothie” and “clean” presets.
