From what I remember researching doorbell cams, the wireless version stores on the homebase while the wired version stores on the SD card. The bigger issue is that the doorbell can be fairly easily...

No, the camera assembly clicks on the mounting plate. Very easy to take it out. All you need is something to push it out from the base plate. .

I have this installed and so far it's working great. The dual cameras are quite useful. This version stores videos locally and stores good amount of clips eventhough I am recording all motions.
