I believe ya... the skin may be good if grilled, but I suspect most of us eat it straight out of the can with something in the side... perhaps blended with other stuff is passable.

I get the ones from Lidl for $1.09 and they are from the North Atlantic in Canadian waters and in water or Soybean oil, they taste great. Not sure why they had to smoke these so I will pass. But good...

When you add smoky flavor and olive oil to sardines, the taste is masked. Typically done when the fish are lower quality. Not a fan of WP.
