If I recall, the brushless uses a Ridgid blade guide (same parent company). So the issue is "fixed", but not because it's brushless. In terms of performance, you're only getting more battery life...

Why fix it? People buy it because it’s cheap, and then once they use it they toss it aside to buy the brushless one instead. Perhaps that’s why they’re a billion dollar company! And I concur...

amazing how a Bazillion dollar company can't spend the six bucks and fix this.

Another negative experience with this one, but from the general battery/cordless perspective. We took advantage of the 2 2AH battery deal, and bought this to go with it, which was a terrible idea....

I switched to dewalt and the XR jigsaw I have is fantastic.

If you're mechanically inclined, you can resolve the issue with this jigsaw by replacing the blade guide roller with one from a different brand. It costs no more than $6 if you already have a punch....

So which brands battery jigsaw do ya’ll recommend?
I have had the brushless version for a couple years and have been very happy with it. No drift and no issues to speak of. Been a great tool for me.

Concur with the blade twist / drift issues. Not even close to being a precision saw. Other Ryobi tools I’ve owned have been great.

Same. I thought it was me but found others saying the same thing. Ditched it a while back when I upgraded to Dewalt tools and couldn't be happier. I have a few Ryobi tools that are fantastic,...

Thanks for the heads up, going to skip it based off of what others say here. I wanted it for convenience, but will stick with my corded DeWalt

I had this and had problems with the blade wandering on me, even with a straight-edge/speed-square. I upgraded to a brushless Dewalt and have been pleased with it and haven't had that issue
