Dimmer switches supposed to turn on and off repeatedly and that's what makes them run hotter. High wattage, sorry, on 120V I had almost 800 Watts of light, horrible design, my dimmer (this one)...

I’m pretty sure these don’t work with low voltage lighting, which is generally 12V, not 120V. Maybe you meant low wattage? Regardless, unless your wiring is not the proper gauge, I don’t see why...

I installed 6 of these with LED recess lights. They all flicker sometimes when dimmed at the lowest setting. If i go a bit brighter it may go away, sometimes it won't unless I go brighter.

Yes they can. These have plenty of problems though. For example, you can’t get them to 100% via app, have to manually press “up” after turning on….
