I've been using something similar with a Dell displaylink dock and surprisingly it works quite well as a KVM But this isn't a propper kvm

This is a great budget KVM option. I use one with my setup. It lets me swap my mouse, keyboard, camera, and microphone between my desktop and MacBook dock. Then, I switch the input on my monitors....

This actually doesn't seem too bad even for the price. If it has keyboard hot key for swapping and at least a second HDMI for dual monitors it would be perfect.
