You're right, this thing probably wouldn't run great on the small 1.5AH batteries (neither in runtime nor power). Similar high demand M12 tools can often end up underpowered with smaller batteries -...

You have a good point. Being I only have several (4?) 1.5 ah m12 batteries I'm curious about how long these will last on light work. I gave my 18" gas powered chain saw to a relative because I have...

While the M18 definitely has more power, from what I've looked into (I ended up pulling the trigger on this M12 version), it's also bigger & a good deal heavier; something to consider if you ever...

Photo appears to be the M18 version. While I have several of the M12 tools, I haven't invested in the larger capacity batteries for those. My main BO tools are the M18 lineup with a number of the...

With a reciprocating saw, the sawdust isn't ejected nearly as well and all the heat is concentrated on a small blade section which dulls it faster. Sure it gets the job done, this just gets it done...

I feel the same way... I have the super sawzall and that thing is a beat. I use it to cut roots in the ground and have been using it to prune our existing trees. I do want something beefier to...

Same here -- hackzall fuel with pruning blade seems to accomplish everything this tool does at the expense of some speed but with the advantage of zero maintenance.

Yep, this is one handy tool for those quick cuts. A $125 price would be the clincher. Maybe BF? For now, the Sawzall that I got works for my current pruning tasks.

Works fine for me on small trees/limbs. I.e. 6 inches.

Reciprocating saws have a much narrower blade though, so generate less heat and less saw dust while cutting the same limb, and require less battery life to boot.

You ever try cutting trees with a reciprocating saw? It doesn't work. The chips get trapped. Even with a "limbing blade".
