You could probably find a Gen 3 NVMe SSD on the high end w/ similar specs as the one in the OP which it equates to.

It isnt slc nand, it is tlc nand with an slc cache instead of dram. So slower than dram for caching but faster than tlc.

It's not SLC but an SLC Cache. However the NAND is TLC which gives it a leg up on QLC drives around this price range.

Is that TLC or QLC? How do reviews compare them? The speeds for this drive are pretty much PCI-e Gen 3 speeds. EDIT: That's not really true. It's an okay, but not great, PCI-e Gen 4.

It's not SLC. The title is wrong. EDIT: Title updated to reflect TLC flash, which is the best you can typically get these days (SLC single-layer and MLC dual-layer aren't really produced anymore).

It does not meet the specs required by Sony for the ps5. Yes as others keep saying it will technically fit in the machine and run just slower than Sony recommends. Sony is just starting to focus...

Yes. SSD prices have fallen dramatically. It's a similar story for all computer parts, but flash trades like a commodity and so an oversupply dramatically lowers prices. Spot prices on NAND flash...
