I'd love to see some data on that. I wonder if any of the cloud providers publish SSD reliability stats. That said, they probably wouldn't be using these types of drives. EDIT: found this......

Got your points. Higher end products or those with 5-year warranty naturally give customers higher confidence that it might last longer than average/low one, but QLC is not the one to blame I would...

This is a perfect example of why Gen 3 vs Gen 4 debate makes no sense for 95% of end users. It can be "next gen" and be the same or slower than a previous gen drive. Shop the best bang for your buck;...

Your point on the other chips is valid, but so is mine. Sure, there are people who will buy Kia Rio's, but people still buy Toyota Corollas even though they are 25% more expensive because they want a...

There is so much misinformation every time when it comes to QLC deals here. Come on, there hasn't been any consumer-grade SLC SSD for the past half-decade at least.

This is so true. For cheapness, Intel 670p is a no-brainer, with DRAM also. For better quality or speed, P5 plus can't be beaten. The only market for NV2 is PS5, which requires Gen 4, to be honest.

Please stop spreading misinformation! QLC lasts longer than other components of your TLC DRAM NVMe such as controller or other peripheral chips. With the 3-year warranty in place, Kingston is not an...

LOL.. I was running a 5yr old 250GB 2.5" SSD until recently, now 980 pro Nvme. Bootup times and apps load just as fast (I kept timings) Games I had been using the 980pro, with 2.5" SSD for OS and...

The TBW is disconcertingly low at 640TBW for the 2TB drive. That's about half the endurance of what a decent drive should have.

It's not just about speed, reliability and endurance is key. OS drives tend to have more writes than drives used for other purposes, and the consequences of having an OS drive go bad can be worse...
