This is a bit alarmist. Call Apple, supply your receipt, and tell them to update the sale date. It’s literally as simple as that. Another poster and I have posted the exact procedure.

Heads up: Warranty on mine expires Sep 13. So these are ~6 months past the original sale date and you can't add AppleCare+ to them.
