Use granular for feeding and liquid for prevention or killing. It's much too expensive using a granulated weed n feed. A $10 bottle with a hose provided better, faster results for weeds.

I'm not expert, I had new construction 8 years ago and used Walmart brand "expert" equivalents of Scott's to get it going well. I over seeded with a 40lb bag of Kentucky 31 I got on Walmart clearance...

Anyone that thinks this is a deal needs to research fertilizer application. There are way better options much cheaper. If the free bag was 15k Sq ft it'd be worth it.

Turf builder will do nothing for dandelions if applied now.
You may have a shot at controlling them next season if applied when they reach puffball phase.
