You can grow tomatoes in these as long as they are determinate varieties or keep pruned. Sucks that they charge more for the other colors. The pretty ones were cheaper.

There are 2 overflow holes, one on each of the longer ends, about 1/3 of the way up. No drain valves but I'm sure you can put one in without huge difficulty.
