The answer is technically yes. You COULD use cobalt alloy bits for everything, but you shouldn't. You should have cheap bits for wood, plastic, and soft metals like aluminum, copper, and mild steel....

These drillbits do not work very well on anything other than wood. Quickly dulls if using on metal. A good cheap throwaway set.
