3ah @ 60v = 9ah @ 20v, same battery, different ratings used (the tool comes with a "3ah" because the tool ONLY works at 60v

I ordered the 18” version and chose the 9AH as the freebie selection. Got the battery delivered yesterday and to my surprise the chainsaw delivered today and shipped with a 9AH battery rather than...

I think in 10 years battery tech will improve enough that an electric chainsaw will match the performance of gas. But we’re not there yet. Low runtime and overheating are good reasons to not go...

I have several chainsaws. Homelite to Stihl. Yes they leak, but they don't empty the reservoir like this one. Second- it flings oil off of bar excessively. Poor design Third- it is slow, bounces...

All chainsaws will eventually leak bar oil.

It's not really a "leak" though. The oiler is literally just a hole that slowly trickles bar oil out. It doesn't matter if the saw is running or not, there's nothing preventing the oil from just...

I also have the 12” and was having issues with it leaking bar oil. I now just try to add oil as needed, and I also store it on it’s side with the oil filler cap facing up.

But it makes it much more complicated, more prone to breakage and more expensive. I had an electric chainsaw once where you pressed on the fill port much like you'd press on a carb primer bulb to...

Now, I wonder if it is really difficult to design a tiny electrical oil dripper that would drip oil onto the chain only when it is running? In this day and age, it is really shocking to see that...

Most chainsaws are gravity drain for the bar oil, so if left "upright" for storage, they'll still leak oil out. Just store on its side. My Husqvarnas are like that.

I went all-in on the dewalt line and don’t have a single complaint against any of them. Yes I have other brands for corded tools here and there but you won’t be displeased with their line.
