if you try to download office using the key, it will fail. However, if you install the program from an Iso and then activate, it will work.

AFAIK, you cannot download random office 2007 and apply your keys. You have to have a matching distro to your key. MS is betting on the monthly subscription so 365 is the one to get. But this one...
