Stand corrected. Too many gens of USB. Main issue for most people though is the DDR208 pseudo-proprietary extensions.

USB 2.0 is only 480 mbps so it would be a limiting factor since that translates to about 50 MBps after overhead.

USB2 vs USB3 isn't really the limiting factor. UHS-I sdxc standard only supports up to 104 MB/s on the sd interface. To get higher people were supposed to upgrade to UHS-II which has extra data...

$18.12 after tax and best buy reward $5 which came in email for unknown reason. Bought $13 earbuds a few years ago. The reader is not usb 3.x, i assume. I'd rather pay $5-8 for 3.0 reader from ebay.
