It isn’t a problem with the product but instead how you’re using it. These chlorine tablets contain CYA in it and over time it builds up. Only way to get the levels lower is draining your pool and...

True. But, I’m using easily a 1/3 less chlorine than I used to use. Since I do all my own pool maintenance I’ve found that the combo of the ionizer and just a bit of chlorine is the perfect combo....

But then you still need to buy chlorine too. I usually spend just about $60/year on chlorine for my 18,000 gallon in ground pool.

I thought about same thing but my 1 bucket of pucks easily last me 1 season, so my cost is under $200/year. I am running DE filter, older pump but I have solar panels and I almost never go above my...

And dont forget you typically want to upsize your system to approximately double your pools true capacity, unless you want to run your filter 24/7. But considering I was looking at an easy 500+ per...

Thanks, I thought about getting one but after seeing how much the generators cost, it's a big upfront investment. It's about $600-$1000 for one.

Yes, salt went up, but its still only 7 or 8 bucks per 40 lbs bag. It takes a dozen or two bags to convert a pool from scratch, but then only a couple or few bags a year to maintain.

I heard Salt prices went up too, but it's less than tabs, right? Not sure how much you need to use of that. Also they are expensive to add at this point, I expect tabs prices to stabilize more.

I was going to buy the floater last year then realized it needs a 20 mins cleaning every 2 weeks. That's extra work I don't want to really do since I only use liquid bleach, I dump it and I'm done.

I bought the Sams deal as well last week and I returned my full price Costo pucks I bought a few weeks ago. IMO the sams tabs are a better product and worth a few extra bucks. I used the Sams for...

HTH has some of the lowest Trichloro-S-Triazinetrione levels of any of the big names, but at this price, I guess it's still hard to beat.

Yes. We have one place "local", and it's Leslie's. Multiple reports of "weak" HASA chlorine (watered down?), or the 2 packs from big box stores that are stored outside in the heat and not rotated, so...

Yes, but when factoring in my cost for chemicals locally, the floater made more financial sense if it lasts as long as it claims. If not, it's Costco and it goes back.

Saw a few reports of that, but far from it being a uniform or common complaint. Will look further into it, though. Thanks.

I think you spend more on just the replacement anodes for this thing than I spend on liquid chlorine for the entire year.
