It's been a couple years since 50 cents a pound was a deal on Kingsford. Now a good price on that is dollar a pound, yikes. And no major chain discounted it on Memorial Day, July 4th and now Labor...

Finishing up an overnight cook with this and this will be my new go to over kbb. I've never had my 18 wsm (oem basket) still ripping 14 hours later. It just burns hotter and longer while being the...

I usually use briquettes for smoking and lump coal for grilling

Charcoal prices have gone up the past couple of years, basically $0.50/lb or better is considered good these days.

I get it. That’s why I’m waiting on the next jealous devil deal and buying 20 bags 😂

Not much of a solution but get a metal bucket with lid from hardware store to dump coals? I have a charcoal grill as well and usually seal off air then leave it out overnight before putting cover on...

I have the small char-griller side-fire box/portable table top grill. I can close the vents but it doesn’t seem to stop enough airflow to extinguish the embers. The grill remains quite hot to the...

What grill do you have? Curious since ive under the impression all charcoal grills can seal off oxygen and smother the coal. Given a few hours it should be cool enough to store away.

I’m just finishing up a bag of this. No real complaints. But I would like something that burned faster. I like using my charcoal grill but these things will burn for quite a few hours requiring me to...

I used this yesterday to smoke a brisket. It reminds me of the charcoal Weber used to make. It burns longer than KBB and less ash. Granted I’ve only used half a bag but the flavor was fine.

I have a charcoal-type smoker. The manufacturer's recommendation is to add wood chunks to the charcoal for flavor. I don't know how the results compare with a traditional wood-fired offset...

Used these for a hickory smoked pork shoulder for 10 hours around 260 or so average temp. One of the best things I've ever eaten

Not a fan of this charcoal, doesn’t light easy and burns inconsistently. I got 2 bags a year ago and resorted to mixing in a small amount of this with lump or Kingsford just to get rid of it.

Bought at Costco a month ago, and really happy with them. Didn’t have any plastic in mine, all great wood. However, I did have the majority of smaller pieces as compared to larger pieces. Those of...

this is a get what you pay for. Didn't like that I was getting a lot of construction debris in the bag I got, old lumber, nails. The Myron Mixon bags have been good, I'll be trying out the Kamado...
